It took 53 squares for me to make one tree cozy. The Hello Kitty, smiley faces, bears and love were my favorite squares. Many of the square patterns are available for free on Ravelry.
Many ladies made squares for four other tree cozies. I made a few extra squares for those as well. Those trees ended up looking more eclectic. I was afraid it made my tree look like the odd one out, but it turned out fine.
This was for International Yarn Bombing Day 6/11. 5 trees were covered in Acacia Park, Colorado Springs, CO. I added several daffodils to the flowerbed just for fun!
