Always wondered how this fisherman rib would work up in denim. Thought it might be too stiff after shrinking, but it’s not at all. Quite nice.

The main body of the hat is slouchy but, man, is that band tight. For a smaller head, definitely use a tubular (or some other stretchy) cast on. For larger heads, you really need to cast on extra stitches and decrease them out on the last WS band row.

Made the hat itself a couple cm shorter than called for, made the band much shorter.
