Notes

Sweater is done flat without steeks.
Body
Tubular CO 264 sts on US size 0 needles, ribbing 28 rows 2x2
US size 1 ½ needles, put a marker after 66 sts (right front), another marker after 132 sts (back), start colorwork pattern.
Make two pocket linings separately. Using provisional CO with US size 1 ½ needles pick up 30 sts, st st for 34 rows, put on a stitch holder.
In the first row of the colorwork pattern insert the pockets’ bottoms: knit 16 sts in pattern, unravel the provisional CO of a pocket lining, knit pocket sts together with the main sts, holding the pocket sts behind the body sts, continue till the left front marker, knit 20 sts after the marker, unravel the provisional CO of a second pocket lining, knit it together with the main sts. This way later it is easier to seam in the pocket linings – there are only two side seams lefts.
Work straight for 34 rows, insert pockets. Continue for 82 rows (altogether for body - 116 rows). Divide in three parts: three sts before the first marker – BO 6 sts, work till three sts before the second marker – BO 6 sts.
For armholes (all parts):
In every alt row BO – 3 sts; 3 times 2 sts, 3 times 1 st
For all parts knit for 20 cm till shoulders.
AT THE SAME TIME start the front decreases:
On the right side decrease after the first st of the row by knitting two sts together.
On the left side decrease in two sts before the last knitting them together through the back loop.

Decrease 1 st on each side 2 times in every alt row, 4 times in every 4th row, 1 time in every alt tow, 7 times in every 4th row, 2 times in every 6th row
Shoulders decreases:
2 times 5 sts in every alt row, 5 times 4 sts in every alt row
Back neckline:
BO central 26 sts, knit one row, BO 6 sts on each side
Sleeves:
Tubular CO 58 sts on US size 0 needles, ribbing 28 rows 2x2
Continue on US size 1 ½ needles in st st using main color yarn. Make 5 increases in the first row = 63 sts
Increase on both sides in 7th, 15th rows, and then in every 6th row 13 times.
Knit for 42 cm.
Sleeve cap decreases:
BO 3 sts on both sides
In the alt row BO 3 more sts on both sides
In every alt row decrease 2 sts 3 times; 1 st 9 times, 2 sts 4 times, 3 sts 2 times, 4 sts 1 time. BO all remaining sts.
Press all the parts through a damp cloth (you can also soak and block them before steaming). Pick up pocket sts, 8 rows in ribs 2x2 on US size 0 needles, sewn cast off, sew pocket seams.
Sew the shoulders together. Pick up sts for button band starting at the right front, using US size 0 needles, picking up every 2 out of 3 sts. Knit in 2x2 ribs, make buttonholes in the 5th row, 4 more rows, crochet cast off.
Sew in the sleeves and sleeves seems.
Weave in the ends.
