Notes

My daughter gave me this yarn as a birthday gift many years ago. Finally I found a great pattern that didn’t require a lot of yarn to make and had a matching gauge.
The pattern, like all Emily Greene patterns that I made so far, is very clear, precise, and a joy to work with.
My only problem were sleeves that turned out to be too tight for me.
My solution to a “sleeve problem”:

  1. Picked up sts for the smallest size (45 sts for my size).

  2. No decreases after ribbing and continued with increases for the smallest size (67 sts total like for the fourth size).

  3. Used the measurements for the 4th size while sewing sleeves to the body.

My sleeves ended up to be a bit on a long side (usually I make them shorter) even though I shortened their length.
The yarn was rather hard on my hands - they would start hurting after half an hour of knitting so I had to take frequent breaks. That didn’t prevent me from finishing this one in no time: the pattern is simple and straitforward.
I was afraid that the yarn was too scratchy for my taste but it softened a lot after a bath with Eucalan and fabric softener.
