I promised myself this sweater several years ago. Couldn’t decide on the yarn till I picked the remnants of my Rowan Pure Wool 4 ply in a somewhat bright green. I had only 8 balls and my gauge was obviously smaller than in the pattern but since the yarn is very stretchy it wasn’t a big deal and I ended up with a sweater in my size after blocking. Actually, that was the reason for picking this yarn - all the cables hold it together and compensate for the excessive stretchiness.
The cables are lovely and not as difficult as they seem, easy to memorize and to make. The pattern is excellent (as usual for all Japanese patterns).
Tubular cast on and bind off.
Used up all the yarn with almost nothing left to sew it together.
I am really pleased with the result and glad that I finally forced myself to start working on it and then percevered even though it was a slow going project.
