Easy, practical, and satisfying selfish knit. The pattern is charted and self-explanatory. It is mostly stockinett stitch but using different size needles which creates the “balloon effect” on sleeves and bottom part.
My row gauge was different so I had to add more rows to make it long enough. Plus, I bound off the shoulder stitches and sewn them together later instead of leaving them open and kitchener stitching them as per pattern. The yarn is exceptionally soft and I thought that it needed as many seams as possible to stay in place and not stretch too much too soon.
I bought this yarn initially for a totally different project meant as a gift. Since I finished making gifts, I decided to use it for myself and wasn’t disappointed. It took only 5 balls of yarn to make this cardigan. I blocked it very carefully trying not to overstretch the parts made on bigger needles.
Love the color and the texture of yarn. It is soft enough to be worn close to skin.
