My girlfriend asked for an infinity cowl.
I knitted the Marshmallow Meringue Fantasy Cowl in white but thought this would be a great occasion/excuse to try a Metamorph (especially after she mentioned she likes my color combinations).

“I have a teal (blusish/green) jacket, a navy blue jacket, and a tan corduroy jacket. Maybe you could find a neutral color that would work interchangeably with one or two of the jackets.”

I had tons of the denim yarn, but I was leery whether I had enough of the teal. I was extremely surprised that after finishing this project I still had quite a bit of the teal left over. This is a great scrap/stashbuster project!

The buttons I found in a bin at a local fabric store for $.05 each or something per pound. Because they are metal, they are a bit heavy (and cold!), but I really think they give it some bling.

The buttons have shanks, so what I did was take polycotton sewing thread and used it double-thickness in sewing two buttons together. First, I took one button and pushed the shank through the knitted stitch on the end opposite to, but lined up with the buttonhole. I wove the thread around both button shanks, pulling it tight and tying the thread in a square knot after passing through once, then twice, then three times more, cutting the thread after the final series of knots.
