the medium printed merino is perfect for sjaals
very open sjaals is eve better
i have woven my sjaals and studies on a 3threads per cm chain, but better would be a 2 or 2,5 threads per cm

the trick with lowly spun threads were people are mostly afraid for to put them in chains for weaving
is simply not tot pull to hard
and also to make small chains
not long ones
never are tempted to go over a certain length max 5meter
best is even just enough for one project 2 a 3 meter
