I need 3 carnations to wear for Prelims, and knitted ones will undoubtedly last longer…

First exam - white
Last exam - red
In between - pink

First attempt (using entire rose pattern) is too big - although it looks lovely on my winter coat! - so the final 3 flowers are made from just the central part of the rose.

EDIT: So my college “parents” bought me a set of real carnations (last picture), as is the tradition for first years. I suppose the knitted ones will come in handy next year!
