The colourwork floats on the outside of the sweater gives the look of embroidery, and when combined with the eyelets in the ribbing, the patterns bring to mind a hand-decorated folk tunic.

Please note, we recommend that knitters take extra care to keep their float tension even, especially on rows where floats are carried on the outside of the sweater with no stitches knit in the contrast colour. Also, when catching contrast colour floats on the wrong side, do not catch them in the same place in every row, because it would make the caught floats more visible on the outside.

Our sample used three balls of Berroco Lanas Light in Steel Cut Oats and one ball in Cayenne.
