True to its name, Mode at Rowan Softest Alpaca is sumptuously soft and squishy. Our knitter normally finds alpaca yarns prickly but could easily wear this.

Our sample was knit exactly to pattern, with the exception of our decision not to fold down the neck. We did find that our neckline looks different than that on the model in the pattern, but it more closely resembles the schematic and we suspect the model was wearing a larger size.

In the pattern, the kitter is left to use their best judgement on decreases at the neck edge. She did either K2tog or sl1, k1, psso one stitch in from the edge. She used mattress stitch for seaming and said that the yarn was strong enough to be used for the seaming process.

All in all, we think this will be a go-to sweater for anyoen who makes it!
