Notes

Although this pattern was intended as a summer top, we think it looks just as elegant as a cozy layering piece for cooler weather. The fluffy texture of undyed alpaca shines in what is sure to become a go-to garment for autumnal walks and cups of cocoa.

We loved our previous solid grey sample in Katia Alpaca Natural Colors, and we knew we wanted to make a second one in a speckled colourway of Air Alpaca Natural Colors.

Our sample used five balls of Katia Air Alpaca Natural Colours in colour number 201.

Because this yarn is fuzzy—and therefore more “sticky” than the linen blend called for in this pattern—we suggest a ribbed bind off (or other bind off of your choosing) in place of the sewn bind off. We suggest using a larger needle and to take care that your bound-off edge does not flare out.

You can see our full selection of Air Alpaca Natural Colors on our website.
