Notes

As the weather in Victoria becomes warmer we are starting to turn towards summer knits. Brighton Beach contains linen and cotton which are perfect for summertime. The yarn is named for Brighton Beach, one of Melbourne, Australia’s most popular beaches, located on Port Phillip Bay. The colourways of this linen, cotton and acrylic blend are inspired by local terrestrial and aquatic floral and fauna. Our Simple Tee is made from Triton’s Trumpet, a colourway named after a mollusc with a colourful shell that can reach up to 60 cm in length. Cool and breezy, this top is perfect for sunny days outside. Though the fabric is open, it can be worn with or without a camisole.

The top itself is a very simple construction. It is knit in two pieces which are essentially rectangles with a little bit of shaping at the armholes. The pieces are then seamed together which adds structure due to the swingy nature of the yarn (and is good practice if you’re looking to improve that skill!)
