We love Tin Can Knits and have made many shop samples of their patterns. This cowl truly is as its name says “simple yet effective” and is a perfect beginner project or a quick gift knit.

We have made the cowl size (as opposed to the circular scarf size), and we opted for a heavier yarn than the pattern suggests. For our version, we used a 5mm (US 8) 60cm / 24” circular needle and cast on 95 stitches.

Our sample used two balls of Drops Nepal in Off-white.
