Notes

Chanctonbury is perfect for using up your sock scraps, or indeed any yarn scraps - the ultimate stash buster!

It is constructed using garter stitch mitred squares which are quick and easy to knit. An added bonus is that you won’t end up with a pile of squares at the end, waiting to be sewn together, as you join them as you go.

Chanctonbury is a timeless classic, which would look equally well over the back of the couch, ready to curl up under on a chilly evening, or even as a bedspread.

You can use any yarn in any weight, with its corresponding needles for this pattern (I used 2.5mm needles with sock yarn). This will determine the tension of the squares, so none is given. Size isn’t mentioned either, as the blanket can be as large or small as you wish. It’s entirely up to you.
