Notes

Previous project and all of those notes here: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/bekkfek/rainbow-scrap-tu...

My Addi King is really struggling right now. It’s sometimes skipping gears -- at least that’s what it sounds like. I have to not just turn the crank but also push in toward the machine at the same time I’m turning.

DETAILS:
300 rows per tube.

After cranking about 5 rounds of the first color, I marked with bobby pins the last, 23rd, and 24th stitches to make slstg the ends closed an easier process (without counting).

I didn’t mark the first until I’d completed it which was after I took it off the machine. Because I prefer to start on Pin #4 (not Pin #1), I marked the loops directly under the red dividers on the left sides of Pin #26 and Pin #27, and also the loop directly under the last loop of the round, which, when the first stitch is completed, is actually Pin #2. I then marked the new first stitch I completed which happens to be under Pin #3.

I also periodically bobby pinned the lines where I’d be mattress stitching to help me stay on track. On the Cast On end, it’s the loop between the two bobby pins (i.e., Pin #26 and Pin #2),

On the cast off end, I added bobby pins to the stitches directly under Pin #4 (first), Pin #3 (last), Pin #26, and Pin #27. I also added bobby pins for mattress stitching to the stitches under Pin #26 and Pin #3.

Note to self: from the cast on end, the stitch to work into for mattress stitching is an upside v. From the cast off end, the stitch to work into for mattress stitching is a right-side up v. I don’t think I’ve ever really been able to break it down so technically before.

As of the time of the photo (only 6 tubes, not the purple tube), length of tubes was 63”.

At Tammy’s craft day on 11/23, I was able to get two more tubes closed and then 3 tubes connected.

12/3/24
Finally closed the purple tube at the office.

12/9/24
I just noticed that I’ve joined the tubes in a different order than the previous one. I thought I was doing them the same. This one I did PROYGBV, but the first one I did ROYGBVP.

12/14/24
Finished all ends and stitch fixes at Tammy’s craft day.

Final width (written down at home):
~58 h x 48” w
