This one is going to be a much better size than my previous one (here). This time I aimed for making the panels the size the designer suggested.

As on my first one, I made long rows instead of short ones due to changing colors at the end of every row.

For a small, she says to make the panels 16” x 27”. Even though my foundation triple crochet row was 27”, the project grew to be about 29” wide.

My beginning foundation triple crochet was 78 sts.

I got everything assembled and the top and bottom edges finished as written in the pattern, but the neck area is still too large, so I will need another round or two. Hopefully that will do it.

UPDATE 1/30/24: after adding another round of hdc, I thought it was enough and even wore it a few times, but this morning when I put it on, it just seems so big, that I’ll probably add another round or two.

I’m FINALLY happy with the neck opening. Instead of the one round of sc around the neck that the pattern called for, mine needed 5 total. All included decreases, but on the last round I also used a smaller hook. I’ve added my QMC tag, and I’m very happy to be able to wear it.
