Made to match ankle warmers project here.

BLO throughout.

Started on the plane to Colorado in hopes of getting them finished to wear while there. It was way too dark to work with this color of yarn, so it was frustrating and not at all productive. I’m home now, and they’re still not finished because the thumbs are giving me a few problems. I have more than 19 rows, so the first one is a little bulky.

After seaming:
10” tall, including 2.25” on wrist
mitten: 7” wide
cuff: 5” wide

For more stretch (in theory), I joined both FLO with sc, not slst.

The project is in time out until it doesn’t feel like it’s going to kill me to take out the first thumb and redo it.

UPDATE 1/23/25:
I joined a Finish or Frog / early 2025 forum group to force myself to get these done.

UPDATE 1/24/25:
So glad I joined the group, because I got them done this morning and was able to wear them to work today. Final photos are not great because it was still dark before work, but hopefully I’ll get better ones later.

If I ever make these again, I think I’ll use a slightly larger hook and definitely use a lighter color to make it easier to see.
