12/27 The yoke is shaped with short rows. I’m having a hard time seeing what I’m doing. The pattern is well written so I am trusting the instructions and following them carefully. It me, not the pattern. :-)

12/31 Separated sleeves and body.

1/10/18 I’ve knit about 7” from the underarm and I was getting worried about my gauge. My washed swatch was correct: five stitches/inch. My unwashed sweater was six stitches/inch. Today I put the sweater on waste yarn and washed and blocked it. My gauge is correct! Totally worth the extra work so I can keep knitting and stop worrying. :-)

1/13 Started pattern at bottom.

1/24 Finished patterning. Starting ribbing. The odd line in the body is because I washed it earlier.

2/7 Finished first sleeve.

2/11 Finished second sleeve.

2/14 Washed and blocked. Fits great. Love the color.
