8/28 Cast on and knit the first half of back collar. Now picking up from provisional cast on for second half of collar and having trouble understanding how stitch pattern lines up. Time to go to bed and try again tomorrow. :-)

8/30 Holy cow! It took me two hours this morning to figure this out. I have have only done a provisional cast on where the first row is knitted. The first row of this pattern has YO, K2tog, and SSK. I thought I was being careful not to drop any of these stitches but clearly I wasn’t. I ‘m now back on track.

I was having difficulty keeping track of where I was on each row the the chart. I ended up drawing a red line through the chart every ten stitches and putting corresponding markers in my knitting.

9/10 Back on track. A fun and interesting project but, at least for me, not social knitting! Love the yarn.
