Pattern calls for
32 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches

(I’m using heavier yarn and different needles to get different gauge. Using same stitch count as pattern)

Because my row gauge is different from the pattern, my button holes came out 5” apart, putting the length between the belt slit and underarm at more than my desired 13.5-14”, so I frogged back to 4” above 1st and redid 2nd and 3rd with 4” in between holes.

July 28. Finished sleeves. Odd notch shape. Interesting construction.

Jacket one size only: 34” bust 8 oz of dark color, 4 oz of light color

Finished collar and patch pockets. Used every last bit of light yarn.
If I were to ever knit again, I’d knit the collar with the purl side extending from the outside of the back, so that the fold would go from inside to out, covering the picked-up stitching (and not from the outside folding in). I also think it might lay a bit better.
