Finished size: circumference 14 inches unstretched, height 8.5 inches with brim unrolled

Cast on 48 st, work 3 inches then begin decreases--> work 3 decreases evenly spaced, so 1st round is K14,K2tog. Work one round plain. Repeat in this manner until 3 st remain: sl1,K2tog,psso. Pull yarn tail trough one remaining stitch. Voila!
