The stitch pattern charts are more complicated than necessary. Do check the (very old) discussion threads in Rowan group for errata if you are using an older version of the book like me. Other than that it’s a fun knit and if you’ve knitted other cable sweaters this should be a breeze.

I had a minor misunderstanding about the button band on the left shoulder so my left front ended up lower than the right. The button band makes up the difference, but that means there is no room to make a working button band. I sewn on some Irish buttons from Black Water Abbey Yarns for good measure. I would wear this as a regular pullover.

The first skein is slightly darker than the rest, so the lower part of the back is it’s own color block. Looks fine to me that way, more character.

It’s my tradition to finish a heavy woolen sweater during a heat wave. It’s going to be 91 today.
