Trinket Thomas: January 30 1995 -- June 2 2010
In 1998 Trinket had surgery to remove two large first degree (lightest) mast cell tumors on his chest. Dr. Larsen warned us that he’d be shaved in the area, and there would be quite a few stitches. When we picked him up his mid-section was wrapped in gauze. It took me the next two days to knit up this little sweater, in time for the post-op appointment, so when the gauze came off, we put the sweater on him to keep him decent.
The pattern was free from the web, with heavy customization to fit a small dog. I added an intarsia T on the front, since Trinket had a white T on his chest against the black fur. On the back I added some paw prints and doggie bones just for fun.
