First sock knit!! These were made top down, one at a time, in the round ending with kitchener stitch.
The construction of them was surprisingly simple, I had a couple of troubles picking up stitches for the gusset as my count was off the first sock (and surprisingly off by the exact same number of stitches second sock as well -_-).
I didn’t really keep track of rows/length for the second sock and so it’s a little longer/shorter in places but both fit surprisingly well considering I had no gauge haha.
Very quick to knit, started the first on a 10hr flight and it took me 1 more 10hr flight and a jetlagged morning to finish both off.
I tweaked the way I’ve been knitting in the round, I’d been pulling a random number through and keeping stitches on the 1st needle to keep tension even but found that this wasn’t really necessary. At the end the perfect match was to hold an even number of stitches on and off the needles (aka 22 on needle 2, needle 1 totally empty and 22 floating on the wire).
I’d definitely like to try TAAT with Fish Lips Kiss Heel and the stretchy bind off next! Can see a lot of socks in my future…
