A quick and easy project. I made 2 as a gift.
Finished size (unstretched) 28 x 22 cm

I like having a bag that isn’t so long when filled with stuff that it just about hits the ground, especially if you’re not particularly tall. Better to have 2 bags that are easy to carry.

I didn’t think I had enough of one colour yarn. Using some new yarn and some leftovers. Colour blocking.
Modification to the top and handle. Using dc (single crochet in US terms) instead of treble (dc) as I prefer the tighter look. Means adding an additional row above and below the handle opening. I also finished the top with a round of slip stitch. Too stretchy otherwise (for my liking).

I also put an extra row in the expanding middle section.
