For Crochet Summer 2018. Finished almost two years later, because I kept having to set it aside. Better late than never! I’m not making the ties, but may add tassels. We’ll see.

Before blocking, the top edge (wingspan) measured 68 inches. I stopped at 37 puff shells because it’s sure to gain a few inches after blocking and it already seemed the right size. After blocking, the top edge measured 73 inches.

A big cozy shawl - I love it! Well written pattern and a joy to make.

UPDATE 2023: This shawl was my cat Snickers’s favorite “blanket.” She loved to curl up on it, so it became hers. She was swaddled in the shawl when she passed away earlier this year and it was cremated along with her.
