I’m knitting it longer, probably 32cm to the underarms. I’m half way through, well past where the pattern suggests I decrease for the armholes, and am still in the first ball of mohair (the fuzzy wuzzy are incomplete balls). No way will I use 3 balls of each contrast! Judging by this, the cowl will use only one ball of each. I bought 6 aqua mohair!
My daughters are pleased. Pretty leftovers!

I ADORE this top. It may need adjustments, or go on a diet, or time travel (back 10 years) to make it work, but I must and deserve to have it. I bought the mohair online but wasn’t sure about the navy. It looks great, but hmmm… not me so much. So, Ta-Rah!! I realised I have a bag of Fuzzy Wuzzy my Grandma gave me. She made me a little bolero (when I was 4-5. i.e. 1962-63) and then my brother’s girlfriend used some to crochet a scarf for me when I was 14 (first ever time I became a human being to my brother’s friends).
Good memories! And a lovely and elegant colour combo.
Really nice, me thinks.
P.S. Had to size up the needles to get tension.
