I ran out of velvet in the right colours, for the back of the quilt… so I knitted a strip of cable. Turned out better than had I had enough fabric, me thinks.
The note is an enlarged and embroidered version of one Leif’s father (my first-born) gave me when he was 4.
All of the velvet is years old. Some I’ve had for 35 years! In fact, I made a top for my first pregnancy and that lad is 33 (Leif’s Dad as it happens).
I’m in a Using Things Up frame of mind.
