Knitting the bag took practically no time at all. Honestly, the knitting and felting were done in less than a week.

The only problem was that the handle as spec’d was way too short for me. So I knitted another longer one and felted it.

The fear of putting in the zipper kept it unfinished for quite a long time. When I finally did get up the nerve to add the zipper, I found that I’d purchased the wrong kind of zipper. So I bought another, but by the time I did, the fear had returned.

I finally decided that there was NO way that I was going to enter the new year with such an old UFO that was so close to completion. So I sat down and sewed the zipper in by hand… in less than a half hour! It really wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.
