I tried the alternating colors on the bottom for about an inch before it drove me bonkers, so I dumped that idea in favor of something similar. I’m doing blocks of color rather than stripes. I like how it shows the stitch pattern in the lace better.

I would have finished this much faster had I just read the directions. I missed critical increases everywhere they were required. Both times, I had to rip back and try again.

My gauge was whacked so I ended up picking up 8 more stitches along each side to avoid large holes. I then added more stitches to the handle and made the handle openings on the long sides rather than the short sides.
