this pattern is mostly guidelines about the cowls that the designer has made. I might need more reassurance than that but I picked a number of stitches to cast on and plunged in. We shall see.

It’s narrower than I thought it’d be but that’s a consequence of the yards in the skein, no other reason. It’s barely long enough to loop around my neck twice but it does. I like the way it turned out. I had to tink back a round so I’d have enough yarn to bind off and I used a big crochet hook for the bindoff--and had 6” left when I was done. Whew.

Next time I’ll do it all in mistake rib. I like the way it looks.
