Notes

7/16: Oh dear…oopsie. While blocking, I tried smooshing the straight edge together but it’s still 103” long and 23” deep (just over 8.5 feet long). And I stopped short at 510 stitches instead of 520! Those extra non-increase rows added up. No matter. I love it! It looks great on.

7/5: Just finished stripe 4. I have been doing the YO and dropping it at the end of every row, which I think works better than at the beginning of the row because I JUST made it, so I will remember to drop it, and also because I’m slipping the first stitch of every row to make a pretty edge (the YO is less clumsy if it’s at the end of the row when I’m slipping the first stitch).

Used 3g of pink for the first stripe and 8 for the second time I used pink. Did the math and there will be 30 ends to weave in- whoo!

I ordered 3 hanks of the Thunderstorm after reading the comments about this shawl being very long and not very wide. I like a wider shawl, so I’m going to add a few rows without increases regularly throughout the pattern to make this deeper. I special ordered a hank of TML in the color Seaglass, which I haven’t seen often but it’s so pretty that I’m really hoping The Loopy Ewe is able to get it in… and soon! I’m really burning through my projects lately.

Camp Loopy July project must be started after the 1st and completed by 31st.
