Oh MAN, it is nice to have this project after knitting a cardigan!
Loopy academy striped project using 175 yds. After buying my two hanks of yarn, I read many ravelers’ notes that this would be slightly less than I needed, so I am using a bit of stash yarn to meet my yardage, which I saw was ok’ed in the forum (posts 1355 and 1462).
Day 1: frogged after first full CC row because I couldn’t figure out how to avoid the tiny holes where I didn’t pick up my wraps. I will pick them up this time using Cat Bordhi’s technique.
Day 5: just started cc 11 and I’ve used 68g of the cc and 33g of the mc. I’ve decided to switch the mc from the white to the madelinetosh for the edge, which will use quite a bit of yarn. Very relaxing project :)
Day 9: finishing stripe 12 and I have 11g left so I’ll keep on until I’ve used up the rest.
took a 3 day break for personal time and to knit some mittens for my little guy
2/25: it’s taking about 3g for a round trip to knit the border- i’ll use the white until I have 4g left, switch to blue, and then do the bind off in white :)
3/1: 170+1+263=434 sts at bind off row.
Last day: yarn over bind off
