1/4/14 Yes another Bloom! Getting full value from this delightful pattern…. Too successful … Many requests to knit it but because I don’t hold a cottage licence for it I can’t charge… But I wouldn’t anyway as I only knit for those I love!… Having said that I would be happy not to knit this again for a while.. Only can handle so much ribbing… Yf yb …
Ok so every time I’ve knitted this pattern I’ve had to unravel the ribbing after a few rounds and start from scratch…2-3 times each time! But not this time YAY!… So this time round, when coming to the casting on of stitches to form the armhole I’ve always gone with the backward loop method as I couldn’t be stuffed learning something new after all those restarts!! This time I decided to try the cable cast on, feeling quite calm. Glad I did as its easy, awesome and looks heaps better… Plus I feel great having finally learnt it. I watched a YouTube clip but it was for the initial cast on, not for adding stitches further on. So then I tried a photo tutorial over on purl soho… Much better..
