25/4/13 - I wore it for the first time today after finally getting my mojo back for blocking it. It is too short for my liking that perhaps another 5cm or so would have rectified. But I do love it. Yay!
18/4/13 - finished. Now to block.
10/4/13 - been a back burner project of late but I have finally gotten over my fear of kitchener stitch and have zipped up the shoulder seams like a pro (with a wee bit of cursing along the way). Just need to pick up stitches (not a fan) around the neck and sleeves and then block. Fingers crossed that it will increase in length significantly as it is rather short. I didn’t check gauge so it could be my fault. But I have lost 6 kg since starting this project for health reasons so perhaps that may have saved me!
18/2/13 - my first order of hand dyed yarn arrived today. Tosh DK in Jade. I don’t have a swift or yarn winder so I did the winding manually and due to having no knobs in this house, I got myself in a bit of a tangle. I hope to purchase a winder at least before I get through the first skein. It feels so lovely to work with and I am looking forward to seeing it with the beautiful feather-like pattern design that this knitting pattern has. I am a little doubtful with the amount of yellow in the yarn suiting my complexion but I’m sure that it will not be an issue if I can execute this pattern. I think I will be challenged in the assembly of this top as I am not that great at stitching, hence my preference for knitting in the round.
