Warped Weavers and Woven Dishtowels have threads regarding this towel. LynneFitz sussed out the color design from Handweaving.net (61537)
10-yd warp, floating selvedges wound and hung with weights.
8-shaft undulating twill.
10-dent reed sleyed at 22.5 epi.
506 ends, 22.5”in the reed. Lashed on.
Used Shaft Shuffler in Fiberworks to change from straight 1-8 treadling to walking: 1-8-2-7-3-6-4-5. So much easier!
White weft.
I plan to weave straight through and measure/cut towels when finished.
warp wound 9/17/18. Loom dressed and started weaving 9/21/18.
Off the loom 10/11/18. I had edge tension issues (next time somehow tension the edge threads separately?)
Cut towels 37” (width 21”, golden ratio gives me 34” + 3” hem)
Yield 8 towels, finished size 18.5 x 30.5”
