Notes

My inspiration was from AmyGwen99’s outstanding towels -- diamond patterns and color changes.

16/2 natural cotton warp and tabby weft
635 ends, + 2 f/s each side 22.75” in the reed.
10 yd warp
12 dent reed, sley 2-2-3 for 28 epi

goal: napkins or towels, varying colors of pattern weft in 8/2 cotton.

1 knot in warp, dealt with when I got to it in weaving: added length of repair warp under tension, wove with both for ~3” either side of knot. Trimmed knot out afterwards.
.
Hems 1-1/2”, in natural 16/2.
Cut off loom 12/16/18. Yield: 3 towels, 7 napkins/breadcloths -- towels 32-38” long on the loom. Napkins ~ 24” -- plus hems for both.
Finished sizes: napkins ~20” x 20” towels: ~29” x 20”
Shrinkage/losses from under tension and in the reed to wet-finished: 12% width, 18% length.
