Used this video for a pattern up until the last 3 rows. I didn’t use a second hair elastic at the top as to have more open access to put the bags in.

I did 41 or 42 SC around the hair band, the video used 35. You need multiples of 5 but I seemed to need that extra 1 or 2 because the CH 3 seems to get hidden behind the last HDC which I didn’t like because then that section looked like it only had 4 HDC posts and not 5.

I then did 30 rows of HDC and 2 rows of SC and in the 3rd row I SC, SC, dec2tog repeated around to create a bit of a tapered end.

I also created a handle of 3 crochets across, make it however long you want and then I added a button hole so I can attach this on any handle in my kitchen.

I then did another row of SC’s down the handle, around the top of the bag, and back up the handle to finish off the edge.
