August 2010

I think this will be next year’s project.

Go with either 8063 or 8049 colourwise.

May 2010

ARGH! I can’t get close to gauge with the Cascade 220. 6.00mm is only getting 17 stitches/4” - 5.50mm is 17.5 stitches/4”. But this is before blocking… I only have soaked the 5.5mm one. I think I’m going to have to use the Cascade Eco.

March 2010.

Scrap the Cascade Eco. It’s going to be too heavy for Brisbane, and I’ll never wear it. So I’m thinking either the 220 (seeing I go to that for everything ;) or the Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed Aran. Based on graciechiao’s Heather Hoodie, seeing she used DIC Classy and got gauge… it might not be too difficult to get gauge. Will probably aim for the 44”… which means I have the 47” or 50” to size up to if I have too tight of a gauge.

Swatched last night with 5.00mm and got 18 stitches per 10cm (and 19 rows for 7.5cm because I couldn’t be bothered knitting more than that) after washing & blocking with the Cascade 220. I haven’t really worked out what size that should be but just making note.
