I had hopes of doing this project in one go but considering I’m still a new/somewhat slow knitter and it has no specific destination yet, it’ll be an in-between project---something I pick up here and there and work on. I’m making it larger than the pattern calls for because I have quite a few skeins of this yarn (given to me by my Grandmother quite a few years ago.) I think I did 22 pattern repeats instead (with the 9 stitch garter edges---which I regret not doing more rows of in the beginning like suggested by the pattern designer.) I’ll stop when I run out of yarn or when I feel like it’s long enough.

I put markers every two pattern sets (14 stitches) to help me keep track. I tried it without at first but kept losing count (the hardest thing I’ve found about knitting so far!)

As of mid January, I’m one skein into it.

After months of not touching this project, I had a strange urge to pick it up and do a few rows. Since my last update (back in January) I have four full skeins done and am about a third of the way through the fifth.

All done except for weaving in the ends. Photos coming soon. I still have a skein and half-ish but felt the urge to just get this done. Ended up being a nice 36” square.
