Notes

The pattern was a general guide but I made several modifications.

  1. I like to add 1-2 purl rows as a pants cuff, hem on the sweater, and sleeve cuff.
  2. I seam the feet first and stuff from the top as the knitting progresses. It usually produces more rounded shoes for me, but this time it was still kind of squared off.
  3. The 8 stitch cable went from arm to arm which wasn’t the look I wanted so I switched to a 6 st cable. I think next time I’d even do a 4 stitch cable to really differentiate it from the rest of the sweater. Or I’d do 1 purl stitch on either side of the actual cable and do the actual cable 4 stitches. Tiny details to play around with.
  4. Added a scarf and messy bun hat. At first I did the turtleneck/cowl but in the same color of the sweater, she just needed more color. So I decided on a full scarf in the same color as her shoes and hat brim.
  5. Added hair which is from Esther’s Pretty Izzy pattern
