I didn’t use the pattern. I just eyeballed it. The bag is fabric lined and I decided to make fabric straps instead of crochet. Each strap has two thin layers of batting sandwiched in between, making them more comfortable to handle when the bag is fully loaded. I also added a pocket to the lining & lightly stuffed the eyeballs as I sewed them on for a little added interest. They are a bit lop sided which irks me, but I know my 5 year old won’t care!
