• 02/07/13: I CO for this today and am already doing the decrease rounds. Should finish it tomorrow.
• 02/08/13: FINISHED! I finished the hat with an hour to spare before my hubby gets home from work. Phew!!
• Changes I made: Started the decrease rounds in the third round (last) round of navy blue. Did not do a knit only round between decrease rounds after the k5 k2tog row. Did a knit only round between k2 k2tog and k1 k2tog rows. Very minor changes which only relate to the fit of the finished product.

I saw this hat and decided it was perfect as a surprise St. Patrick’s Day gift for my hubby who is from Drogheda, Ireland. Then, I realized that Six Nations is happening right now and Valentine’s Day is just a week away…soooo, I thought I’d hurry and knit it up and surprise him early! I spent nearly all night knitting this hat in bed in almost total darkness. It’s such a great and easy pattern!! I highly recommend it. It’s a super quick knit, too (obviously LOL)!!

My husband does not like wool or any kind of “fancy” fibre, so this is made on the cheap. That’s ok with me, means it’ll wash and wear easily!!
