• It’s hard to estimate exactly how much yarn I used as I was working with two skeins of this yarn (two different dye lots). I made the medium size and I wish I had made the small. I followed the pattern precisely.
• The most tedious and laborious part of this pattern is the finishing…sewing the top edges and the inner flap was somewhat of a pain because it was difficult to determine the right fit. So, I had to call in some backup and had my husband help me out. Then…the buttons…THE BUTTONS…all 28 of them had to be sewn into place.
• This is a rather quick knit and I love it in the Koigu, but I don’t know that I’d choose this as a great last minute gift idea for someone unless I really really really loved the person and felt like spending upwards of $15 on BUTTONS.
• Aside from all the BUTTONS and tedious finishing, I love the pattern and highly recommend it…I just might be crazy enough to make them again, but we shall see what the future holds for my stash and needles.
