Notes

I got a bunch of worsted weight acrylic yarn in various colors from my grandma’s house and I wanted to use them up rather than storing them. I decided to make a small blanket for our dog, who is about 50 pounds. I can use any combination of colors since the dog won’t care.

CO 50 stitches. Using the yarn doubled throughout. I started off using it tripled, but the blanket was too thick and heavy, so I ripped and started again. With the yarn doubled, it’s a soft, pliable fabric.

I’m using yellow, orange, and a light blue-green, and surprisingly, the color combination sort of works.

Man, I love how fast it is to make this with the large Tunisian crochet hook.

2/6/2015: After looking through my stash, I decided to frog this blanket so that I could use the yarns for a larger comforter for our guest bedroom.
