2-7-14: Cast on during opening ceremonies of the 2014 Olympics.
I guess that I can’t follow directions well or that these instructions were written ambiguously. I’ve had to frog a couple of rows twice because the stitch count didn’t turn out correctly. Finally, I just knit intuitively and got the right count…. just not a good “knit while watching the Olympics” pattern.

If you knit this pattern, watch out for chart D row 2 and 3. Hopefully, the error was mine and not a typo and your hat will turn out perfectly.
