Notes

Modified pattern a little because I was making 20 of them in a hurry:

  • Crocheted in rounds, didn’t finish off each row with slst
  • Used jogless stripe in round technique for color changing
  • Reduced to 2 rows red, 2 rows white for stripes
  1. In RED: Into Magic ring, SC 4 (4)
  2. 2 DC into each stitch (8)
  3. In back loop only, 1 SC in each stitch (8) 4 In both loops, 1 SC in each stitch (8), on last SC switch to WHITE before finishing the last loop of the last stitch.
  4. Sl St into first stitch. In same stitch, SC x 1. 1 SC each in remaining stitches (8)
  5. Skip the sl st from previous row, 1 SC in each remaining stitch (8), on last SC switch back to previous color before finishing the last loop of the last stitch.
  6. same as 5 (red)
  7. same as 6 (red)
  8. same as 5 (white)
  9. same as 6 (white)
  10. same as 5 (red)
  11. same as 6 (red) , on last SC switch to WHITE before finishing the last loop of the last stitch.
  12. Sl St into first stitch, Chain 2. In same stitch, HDC x 1. 2 HDC each in remaining stitches (8), sl st into 2nd chain at start of row and finish off white.

Finish remaining steps using original instructions.

Laminated paper circle gift tags in Seuss theme, hole punched, and added to the blue chain before finishing off the tassle.
