I tried to follow the pattwrn, but it was a bit confusing so I had to “wing it” (pun not intended!). Only 24 FDC on wing section that goes across (32 total DC across). Added accent row of lighter color all around the bottom.

Eyes - my own design:
(“H” Hook, 5.0 mm) - Make 2
Black: 6 SC into magic ring, sl st into first SC and tie off (6)
Red: 2 SC in each stitch, sl st into first SX and tie off (12)
White - R1: 1 sl st into first st, 1 sl st and 1 SC into second st, 2 SC into each of next 6 st, 1 SC then 1 sl st into next stitch, sl st into next st (leave 3 red stitches untouched) ch 1, turn (18)
White - R2: skip 1st sl st, decrease together next 2 st with 1 sl st, 1 SC each into next 13 st, decrease together last 2 st with 1 sl st, ch 1, turn (15)
White - R3: skip 1st st, 1 sl st each into next 2 st, 2 SC in next st, 2 DC in next st, 1 st, 1 sl st each into next 3 st, 1 SC, 2 DC, 2 SC, 1 sl st each into next 2, sl st into first open red st, finish off leaving tail to attach.

Left Eye - Black:
Start in the 5th white stitch on the right side. Sl st in each of the 5 white stitches. In the 5th st, add a SC.
1 SC each in next 3 st, 1 SC and 1 DC in next st, 1 DC in next st, 1 DC and 1 TC in next st, TC in next st, QC (quad) in next st, thrn sl st to end. leave tail to attach black section of eye.

Right Eye - Black:
Turn eye to back side (so tails of yarn colors show). Follow same instructions as for the left eys only from the back side of the piece.
