I hate joining for knitting in the round so I started this pattern from the bottom up, using a Turkish cast-on.
8/21/14: Worked body in reverse from top to bottom, picked up the 24 sts for bottom flap & knit flap; stuffed; closed body using Kitchener stitch around the flap, attaching to live stitches around the bottom edge.
Picked up 12 sts on left half of top edge of ‘head’ for ears (also working reverse as for body). Both ears knitted, stuffed and closed.
8/21/14: Starting another body, working base then picking up around it, working upwards to top of head when I will stuff and then Kitchener stitch it closed.
8/26/14: Started on monster #3.
8/31/14: Third one done. Just need to put their faces on.
9/5/14: Eyes & Mouths painted on using fabric puffy paints.
10/20/14: Made another 4 to be delivered to JFS tomorrow.
